Get Excited for the 2024 ABC Silent Auction!
Our parent-run Aquatics Booster Club's major fundraising effort for 2024 will be the ABC Silent Auction!
Mark your calendar:
The ABC Silent Auction Bidding Starts Thursday, July 18th, and Closes Monday, July 22nd.
This is our final stretch to gather additional donations and we've outlined a few exciting contributions that we have already received below. The ABC Silent Auction Bidding starts Thursday, July 18th, and closes Monday, July 22nd.
As we make this final push for donations before opening our auction preview, here are some ideas from our committee and Alto families to spark your creativity:
A stay at your vacation home
Unused gift cards
Wine, gift baskets, artwork
New items like espresso machine, sound system, or other high value items you may be looking
to pass along to someone new
An exclusive experience you have access to like tee time at your golf course, private wine tasting, celebrity encounter, etc
Host a party! Think "Movie Night," "Adult Wine Tasting," "Stanford Dish Hike," or another fun experience you could host for Alto families to bid on and enjoy
Think about that unused gift card or unused kitchen item regift that you would be happy to pass along to someone new. Your participation can make a huge difference!
We have already received an awesome response to our first outreach email!

Why are we fundraising?
The Aquatics Booster Club (ABC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We support local competitive swimming at every level! ABC supports the enhanced training and learning environment Alto Swim Club envisions, including swimmer enrichment, family events, and swimmer recognition.
2024/25 Target Funding Items:
Timing System Improvements for Alto Hosted Meets
Starting Block Installation at Greene Middle School
Dryland Training Equipment Updates for SwimStrong Program
Olympian Clinics / Speakers and Specialists
Alto Team Community & Family Events and Education
Swim Bridge Underwater Training Buoys
Athlee Underwater Camera System
Alto Scholarship Program (BBAF Supplement)
ABC also continues to make contributions to offset the cost of the Alto banquet, holiday party, pool rental for swim meets, and other events and programs.
How can you help?
Donate: We are still taking donations, from vacation home weekends to cake making. You may have a particular skill or craft; we love personal contributions from our community. We are also interested in someone willing to donate their time to take action shots of swimmers during meets. You take the photos; we will add the Alto border. Use the donation form here—don't worry if you don’t have all the answers; we will contact you before making your donation item available.
Direct Contribution: Any direct financial contribution will go towards our target funding items and will help us to meet our goal. Click here to make a direct contribution of any size, every little bit helps!
Relationships matter. Do you have a relationship with a business or organization that may be willing to donate an item for our silent auction? Our team will help you manage the donation or connect us with the business or organization, and we will do the rest.
What happened to Big Swim?
ABC plans to have one significant fundraising event annually, alternating between a Silent Auction and the "Big Swim" event. We look forward to "Big Swim" in 2025.
