Alto Senior Swimmer of the Month: Jasmine He

Jasmine He has been with our team for seven years and has grown up through every level of the program since starting with Alto in 2017!  Jasmine has made many accomplishments in her time with the club. Over the years, she has grown into a dedicated athlete and an inspiring teammate, continually pushing to achieve new milestones.

Most recently, Jasmine showcased her determination and growth in her key events:
200-yard Breaststroke: She shaved off a remarkable 8 seconds, from 2:37 to 2:29.
100-yard Breaststroke: A strong 2-second drop, moving from 1:12 to 1:10.
400-yard IM: She knocked off 5 seconds, going from 4:48 to a new best of 4:43.

These achievements reflect not only Jasmine’s hard work but also her commitment to refining her skills and improving as a trainer and a racer.
Jasmine currently trains with Coach Dustin in the Senior 2 group and sets an outstanding example for her peers. Her commitment to her training is evident in her stellar attendance – Jasmine maintained 100% practice attendance in both October and November, demonstrating her dedication to her goals and her team.

Favorite Alto Memory with Teammates: My favorite Alto memory is when senior 1 had a barbecue night at our summer training camp in Marin.
Best advice you've received from an Alto coach: That not every meet is going to go the way that I expect it to, but I should still try my best and see what happens.
Favorite Alto Travel Memory: In 2023 at Cactus Classic when Coach Laura took us to go bowling and the movie theaters before going to the airport.
Pre-Race Routine: My pre-race routine is quite simple. I just eat a snack and make sure to hydrate, then I go and check in with my coach, and warm up.
Hobbies: I really enjoy art, like painting and drawing. I also really love baking. Every time a holiday comes up, I make a lot of pastries.
Travel Bucket List: I really want to visit more places in Asia, like Japan and South Korea.
